Saw a report on a facebook page south of there in Oconto Co that all the trails (pics included) where in good shape yet in the woods. Road crossings were bare, as were parking lots. I would think Florence would be the same. But no first hand knowledge. The Blue Ox trail who maintain Florence County posed this a.m that trails survived and grooming is going on still, sounds like you will be good to go.

Had a great breakfast at Grandma Sallys in Long Lake yesterday.... from there we decided that a 190 mile ride would be a great end to the season so it was done....Bides are cheap....go for it!
NST grade has plenty a snow, so do the woods.
You will be 90% happy.

Is Grandma Sallys, the small old gas station next to the grade? I have a cabin about 3 blocks from their in Long Lake and last I was up it was closed. I really miss the hotel across the street, it used to have a great food. And was nice to have a place to stay when your roof is caving in while sleeping with snow lol!

Good to hear that there is still a trail base! Hoping by Sat./Sun. it is still there. I ride Armstrong Creek to Florence and over to Dunbar and back to Goodman. Any reports close that area?

Brother dropped on Sunday at Lakewood and headed NE from there up towards Florence. I did not get a detailed report, but said a 7.5/10 FWIW.

Riding all depends on your personal distance tothe snow and desperation for a closure ride to the year.
I can only say we were skeptical on Wed but we had a great 600 mile 4 day ride.
Any roads are grinders but the woods is your reward.

We love that place!....beautiful wood finished interior and our breakfast came in less than 10 minutes.

no, I doubt it was ever a gas station. You might be thinking of the building next door.

At around 1:30 we had a solid 3” possibly 4”. Wet snow which would be great on top of the solid ice base we have in the northern part of Florence. Today would have been a great ride, unfortunately I had to head south and couldn’t try out the trails

Still a pretty darn good year! I know you get out as much as you can. I only have 1,350 on this year.
