Ive always loved any kind of fabrication and it seems that with everything I own, I make modifications to make it work better for me. I have also always had a why buy it when you can build it attitude. I just wanted to show off a few of my latest creations and was wondering if any of you enjoy doing the same. Maybe swap a few ideas around.

I remember when I was a kid in 1980 I would have my "torsion suspension springs" made at the local blacksmith shop in Green bay for my 1970's Rupp Nitro. Even back then, the sled wasn't even 10 years old and parts were not available because Rupp went out of business. I could not imagine how difficult it is now to get 1970's sled parts.
Sad to see the Blacksmith's go out of business too. This springs used to break every fifth ride or so and the local Blacksmith would take my need in the morning at 7 am and have the part to me by 5 pm; now that's service!

I know what you mean. I love to spend the time designing parts and working through problems.
On the sled below (which started life as a 121 mxz adrenaline)....The rear bumper/spars were all designed and waterjet cut. The hexigon rear bumper were cut and tapped. The tunnel extension was a custom one off fabrication. The rear skid was out of a Polaris Assault and had to be fit to the wider Ski-Doo Tunnel. The front shock piggy backs also don't fit on a rev so body work had to be done for that. To me this is part of the fun of sledding in custom setting up a sled to your needs.

wholly carp....it took a garage bumper to get you to show off your custom deep n' steep creation?....that thing is whacked, YO....LOL

I knew I was being followed that day........Only because you made me lead. LOL But I did find a few good views. I'm pretty sure this was a few hours before my "Durability testing" got the better of those hyfax.

LOL, What can I say I like threads about homemade stuff. This sled was custom designed to always have a Snobunje ready for Skiroule no matter where he wonders. Gotta keep the camera man happy.

Love all the work into the sled. The sled wrap is pretty cool too. And I have 1off graphics on my sled.
