Anyone know a judge in Munisign?

This was two seasons ago, but we were riding in the UP and ended up one night in Munisign. We were in a gas station trying to figure out where to stay for the night, when someone came in who is a county judge in that area. He asked us what we were looking for and ended up letting us stay in an apartment that he owned in town there overlooking the lake. We didn't get his name or the address, but wanted to send him a thank-you. The Apartment building was right by a holiday gas station. Figured it was a long shot, but does anyone who this might this be? We were talking about this the other night, so I thought I'd put a post out there about it.

Wow, that is so cool, huh! I would try to call the city, or something like that. I'm sure there is only one judge in the area.
Just one more reason I love it up north!

isn't it amazing how nice people are when you get up into the u.p.? my buddies and I were taking a break at a bar up in the keweenaw.....and got to talking to a older couple that were there.....they were riding brand new skidoo renegades....after asking a few questions about there sleds they let us hop on them and take them for a 10 mile blast...having lived in south east Michigan all my life...you would never meet anyone down here that trusting and nice ever....

Similar story

We rode from Hurley to Lake Gogebic, then down the lake and ended up about a mile from Marenisco when we had mechanical trouble. It was about 7:00 PM, we towed the broken down sled into Marenisco to the first little tavern we came to. There were a couple of people outside smoking, one of them went inside and got a guy that they thought might be able to help us. He didn't have the parts we needed but he quickly threw us the keys to his pickup so we could travel back to Hurley to get our truck and trailer. You don't see that kind of hospitality every day.

Thanks whoever you are!

All the above are great exsample of why I love this sport. One year while traveling to Mercer we had a four place trailer with five sleds. Four of them facing foward and a 250 Enticer on the back facing the rear. Seen a warning for a bump in the road, has we hit the bump the hitch ball scheered off. Safety chains broke and the trailer is now loose and running down the highway. I moved infront and slow down the trailer which was perfectly balance after bouncing off the back of the suburan twice. The trailer headed for the side of the road, when it came in contact with the snow at the edge of the road it spun around just before making contact with a guardrail the skis of the Enticer just pushed up over the top of the rail. No sleds were damaged.

We must have had a half of dozen other snowmobile groups stop to check on us everybody looked for a new hitchball but nobody had one. The impact tore up the trailer lights and the plug was toren off when the trailer came loose. I unloaded my toolbox and started working on the lights and rewiring the plug. One of the other guys drove to the next exit hoping to fine a ball at a gas station or parts store. The gas station did not have a ball, but suggested checking at the local motorcycle shop. He did not have hitch balls but after hearing want happen he took the ball off his truck and gave it to my buddy. He also refused to take any money for it.

So I am not surprised when I read this thread and see all these act of kindness. Yes good things still happen they are just not report as often as the bad ones.

Stayed in Virginia, MN this past weekend. Was on our way to Tower. Buddy's sled had bearings go bad on rear axle. Limped into to town. Got to local pub. Everyone we talked to said nearest was prolly closed. Ended up bein a guy in there that worked at dealer and he had exact sled that we needed parts for. He loaded broke sled and another up on his trailer. Took it to dealer and fixed it.
