Anyone know anything about this old stone structure?

We were riding on Trail 3 north of the Vansville and came across this old stone structure. It's an L shaped and not far from the old railroad grade that the trail is. It has to be close to 75 to 100 years old.

No doubt something from the local mining done there and they were some of the earlier mines so probably more like 100 - 150 years old.

As UP RIDER said, almost surely something from an old mine. However, you would have to give me a more exact location to start narrowing down which mine as the picture doesn't ring a bell for the ruins I've visited.

And if in Keweenaw County, most likely easily 125+ years old, as most mining ventures of that area were shut down by 1900.
