If the weather cooperates we are staying in Calumet starting on the 26th. Is anyone riding the areas North of Houghton now? If so, how are things holding up?

from sounds of forecast nothing going to be holding up real well and that's unfortunate for the Northwoods, hopefully something happens soon

I wouldn't say nobody is riding north of Houghton, but, as far as conditions, they are not worthy for man nor machine at this time. Fortunately, we are holding our snow cover for the most part with minimal loss. Simply put, we need this current weather pattern to change & hopefully that will come to fruition in the next week or so. Be patient, it will happen, it's early yet, usually, once it starts, it doesn't stop & in all honesty, I like not having to be fully engaged in snow removal right now. Keep in mind, with all of the rains we've had from June through October (23" in my rain gauge) it's going to be real wet out there in spots.-Mezz

Seems like every year there are snirt riders out roosting gravel and usually on new sleds, but right now it looks like there is less snow north than south. It would be a crap shoot at this time to bank on conditions that far out.
