Apex Seat Upgrade

Has anyone tried the seat kit from Wasatch Recreational Products in Utah that raises the seating position 2" on a Yamaha Apex? I'd really like to give my knees a break, but am hesitant to spend the $300 before hearing some testimonials. Thanks.

Do you have a riser? 2" brought me tight to the tank pretty easy to canter or stand up from there on 2012 Apex XTX. You didn't say what year or model? My bud has 2011 Apex Se & that is more sit in than my Apex xtx. Can't say pre 2011 Apex don't have dailey comparos for that.

I have a 2012 XTX with handlebar riser. The original seat is pretty good (about an inch higher than my buddy's '07), but I'm still wanting to sit more upright.

I put one on my Nytro it does make a big difference on my knees makes it easier to stand. The seat was stiffer until I got few miles on it now is breaking in I did notice when I go off trail my foot will catch it every once in a while when stepping to one side or the other that's not really much of an issue. I do like the way it sits better than the stock. I would assume it would feel better on an apex also.

I too have one on a nytro. If the Apex foam is the same as the Nytro, you will feel and be sitting at least 4" taller than the soft stock seat. I added a 3" over stock riser as well.
I had to get the tallest windshield available, but that is my old guy preference.
The cover is top notch quality. I used a doufast staple gun. It only penetrated the seat frame if I preheated the plastic as I went along. I am not an upolsterer at all but the cover stretched easily and looks great.

I think it was worth the money. It puts me in the same seating position as the Poo AXYS....knees below my hips.

What year Apex? Sorry...I see it's a 2012.

I put one on my 2014 Vector LTX. It raised the seating position EXACTLY 2". The foam is significantly firmer than the stock seat on the 2014. There seems to be quite a difference in the firmness of the foam between 2012 and 2015 Vector's and Apex's which are built on the same chassis.

I wish mine was another inch or two taller, but it's MUCH better than what it was. Over the summer I'm going to send the whole seat back to WRP and see if they can raise it a bit more. I'm also going to be putting on a pivoting riser to move the handlebars closer to me.
