I'm wanting to get up one more time, probably April 13th. The way the forecast looks there should be snow left. Looks like there is around 3 feet in the woods right now? Plan to stay at Parkview and ride on whatever I can, trail 3 to Freada loop and off trail. Just want to make sure there isn't a reason I cant do this. In 2013 I rode from Krupps to copper Harbor on April 21st without issues but I guess I did not check to make sure that was OK. Just looking for one last rip, I realize conditions will not be real good, but who knows might be a snow storm that weekend.

Off trail is turning to concrete snow right now. We had 4 inches fall in Twin Lakes Saturday morning, which helped, but that was on a very hard base in the woods. A foot of snow and it would have been awesome. Two scenarios need to happen to make it fun, a lot of snow, or really warm temps.

Figure a Freezing start to the morning, how warm do you think do you think it would need to get for the high to soften the snow up by the early afternoon? driving around on top on rock hard snow is not fun but I though highs in the 40's would soften it up ok?

It would have to warm up to 45 or 50, and that wouldn't happen till the afternoon, but, its not getting dark until 8 pm now.

it wasn't too bad....off trail was pretty soft by lunch and only time temp light ever came on was on way home on hard packed groomed trail...stayed out till dark every nite....this was east and southish of twin lakes.... craig lake state park area....anything west of that should be softer...go for it...huge snow storm on way now
