Arct Cat recall on flashing the ecu

Does anyone know why or what happened with the recall to reflash the ECUs? I'm not complaining because my 800 is running like a raped ape and is sipping the fuel like my buddies 600 Skidaddler. Last season it was a slugish pig and drank like an alcholic. Just wondering, until it melts down in a great big ball of flames! No worries, I got the exteneded warranty!

They were running in protection mode too much before the reflash. Many would not even know because the guage did not show until it hit the last protection stage. So you were probably running with pulled timing and extra fuel before the reflash.

Fact: my dads '07 CF 800 get 20% better fuel econ than my '05 Sabercat 600, I guess the reflash is a "magic pill".
