This weekend Arctic Cat brought a groomer's blade to demo for small trails, to check out as well. Today and tommorrow is testimonial shoots, a film company is here to get input from customers on their products, come on out and get a taste of winter!

I just learned about this event late yesterday and it came only thru word of mouth by a friend. I live local, yet if I didn't receive the call, I would never have heard or known this was happening. I plan on attending tomorrow (Saturday 1/21). It seems the advanced advertising for this Demo event was much too light... even a seach on the local Mining Gazette newspaper website did not generate any hits for news articles.

I'm very grateful for Arctic Cat, Test Inc and Wildlife Refuge Cabins for making this happen. In the past, I've participated in Polaris factory organized Demo events and they have all been a lot of fun, but never an Arctic Cat event. I wish the sled makers would come to the Houghton/Keweenaw area and hold a Demo ride event every year... or perhaps every-other-year. This NEEDS to happen a lot more often. In the past couple of model years, I've noticed some of the recent Arctic Cat model appearances and like the newer stream-lined look, but I've never had a chance to climb on one for a ride... who knows... maybe this fanatical gear-head wil "fall in love" and add another to his harem of snowmobiles... just sayin'...... a man can never have too many sleds and I'm always looking for another worthy gas tank to feed!

I am looking forward to being there tomorrow. I'd like to test ride as many models as time and availability permit.

vectorman, notice any excessive ice buildup in the tunnel? Any signs of kinks or damage to the tunnels (behind the seat to the rear) on these demo sleds??

How did you like the power of the 4-stroke engine?

No ice build that I noticed I used to own a phazer 4 stroke so I know what an ice build looks like, also power was not bad a little sluggish at the start but nice top end, very smooth. Talked to the wife we may be going back up this saturday, so she can ride them. She used to have an 06 crossfire 6 sno-pro, and I think this XF 1100 S.P. could be her next sled, as the preformance is very simular with better shocks and better ride.
