I was working on a buddies sled when i noticed the problem, after the engine is warm (about 3-4 minutes) you crack on the throttle it runs fine then idles down, you go to do it again and it just BBBBLLLLAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH falls on its face. he said he cleaned the carbs back in September but has done nothing to it since. gas is from Sep. when you turn the choke in it idles fine and runs fine, where would i start? clean the carbs again for him?? thanks for the help.

if turning choke on makes it run better, thats telling you its too lean.
i would start at air bleed screws. how far out are they turned.
good place to start is 3/4 to 1 turn out.
also check air boots are tight

so you would screw the air adjustment in all the way and then back track it 3/4 of a turn? what about cleaning the carbs is that not an issue?
