ArkStorm

I have seen the term Arkstorm floating around on the internet (mostly on "Doomer" websites) and talk of a possible event this week. Supposedly will bring massive rains and heavy mountain snows to northern California over several days. Any truth to this stuff and if so, any chance it will effect us in the northern midwest?

I am not familiar with the term ArkStorm, but there is a large low pressure system forming in the eastern Pacific, basically off the coasts of Washington State and British Columbia. A feed of moisture will bring some very heavy rains and heavy, high elevation snows to northern CA, as well as western OR, WA and BC.

It will have an impact on us in the Midwest, but not the one snow lovers want. It is actually part of the atmospheric setup that will send temps to above average levels in the Midwest for the weekend and early next week.
