ATV connector from Holiday Inn Express in Houghton?

I got an email for someone who is coming up for Labor Day, staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Houghton. Anyone know if they can get to the Bill Nichols ATV trail from the motel? If not where can the park? There were planning on riding South.

The BN Trail, that is signed and a part of the Mi-TRALE ATV Trail Network begins on Canal Road in Houghton.

Sorry but I don't know how to get to the Northern Point of the BN Trail from the Holiday Inn Express.

I drove around the area last night and I don't see getting to it without riding down M26 (on the wrong side to boot) to the canal road. A very dangerous ride IMO, lots of traffic and Canal Rd is a dangerous intersection w/o adding ATV's to the mix.

I told them it was not possible and they are going to have to trailer to the trail. They picked a bad motel to want to ride from.

I found the way, down Park Ave (old M26) to Calverley (Hillside Rest.), then left 1 block to trail connector. Snowmobile route.
