I believe this has been posted already but we have more permanent info on the class now.

The class will be taking place on the Michigan Tech Campus in Fisher Hall room 130 at 10am on Feb 12th (Sunday of winter carnival). The class is being hosted by the Michigan Tech Snowmobile Club and is a snowmobile specific avalanche class. Mike Duffy is a very highly recommended instructor and provides extremely good insight that may save your life when riding out west. This particular session is the in-class session but some field training will likely take place as well.

Classes are $50/person.

For more information and/or to reserve a spot in the class contact Ryan Koll at rjkoll@mtu.edu

For more specific info on Mike Duffy and his classes, visit his website at avalanche1.com. ANYONE WHO RIDES OUT WEST AND HAS NOT HAD AN AVALANCHE CLASS SHOULD SIGN UP!

Mike puts on an excellent class, he gives you everything you need as midwestern riders. He is the expert and has done a great job! I attended the Northern Illinois class held at Lion's Park in Elburn. Years ago it was the midwestern riders who were killed in avalanches, now with mikes help he has educated "us" so fatalities of the midwest rider was zero last year.

Thanks Mike!
