Babbitt and Ely Mn. Area lodging, trails, etc...?

Wanting to plan a trip to Minnesota this year. We have never been there before. Any advice on where to stay with easy access to the trails? Thanks!

I would recommend Fortune Bay Casino in Tower MN. You can ride out in 4 different directions. Plenty of parking and if you don’t gamble the price is reasonable.

Knotted Pine out of Isabella is nice, but gets very busy as it is in the heart of the snowmobile area. You can go just about anywhere from this place. http://www.knottedpine.com/
