back pack trip

Sounds like a great trip! Long but great!
Has anyone ridden from Lake county IL to Land o Lakes WI? I am thinking about doing.....especially with all of this snow.
Not sure how long it would take.
When are you thinking about doing this? I rode from just north of Madison to Merril WI and it took about 12 hours.
tomorrow, but decided to drive....I think I needed more time to plan. Sounded good at the time.

I have done several back pack trips, but not this one. I have always wanted to do it though. but whenever we had the snow to do it, I didnt have the time, this sunday we are leaving from mchenry, Il and we are going to ride as far north as possible and then ride back. im not sure how the trails are going to be, I think we have more snow than southern wi.

how did your trip go? ho far did you end up going and what kind of time did it take you? I've been wanting to go from the Mchenry are to the Crivitz area for a couple of years.....havn't any takers so I havn't taken the time to plan the route yet.
