Bad temp. Sensor

Anyone with answer, I found a bad temp sensor, the one in the head on my Pro X2 800.
My question is, after replacing sensor will timing go back to advanced setting without doing anything else.

not sure on po's but in cars you sometimes need to start the engine three or four times for the computer to re-learn
