Baudette, MN Trail Conditions

Planning on heading to Baudette this coming weekend to ride Saturday thru Monday. Has anyone rode up there recently? Looking for places to ride to from Baudette (staying at a cabin on rainy river), not interested in going into Canada. Looks like they currently have 12 to 14 inches on the ground based on the snow coverage maps. I've never rode in Minnesota before, typically go to northern Wisconsin 2 to 3 times a year. Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated. Looking to ride somewhere between 50 to 75 miles a day. Thanks.

Lookup "LOW Drifters Snowmobile Club" on facebook, this will have some current updates. The "Lake of the Woods Drifters Snowmobile..." page is old and outdated.

I haven't been out since the 17th and conditions were fair to good depending on the sections of trail, not a ton of snow but enough for grooming and riding.

Only Gas Stations in the area are at Wheeler's Point, Baudette, Roosevelt, Williams, Waskish, and Warroad. I am not sure about the hours at Roosevelt and Williams, Williams is closed Sundays.

Bundle up out there. Looks like Monday will be the warmest day with a forecast high of -1f. Grab a trail map at a gas station, resort, or hotel.

This map: http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/maps/state_forests/sft00005.pdf has the snowmobile trails as well, they are just more difficult to make out. The forest roads are good rides as well, although its hard to predict which will be plowed from year to year, it all depends on logging activity.
