Bayfield Bomber underway

A nice convergence band has developed across far northern Houghton and most of Keweenaw County. I am experiencing snowfall rates of 1-2"/hr right now. I am not sure how long it will last, as a change of just a degree or so in the winds will make a big difference in what the band does, but it might be fun to watch the cams from around Houghton or Calumet north this afternoon.

WOW..... suns out at Krupps and yet you can't see across the street in Calumet. Gotta love living on a peninsula.

Looks like its over already??

Nope, coming down in buckets right now from around Houghton/Calumet north. Looks like the AmericInn Cam is snow covered, but the trail cam 2 has a good view of the snow. Sure would stink of the winds kept up just as they are the rest of today and all night. NOT! :D

Well I'm just curious how much snow came out of that bomber up there? My phone is showing that it is still snowing up that way
Thanks for the update

Yes, we ended up with around 6-7" from sunrise yesterday to sunrise today. The band was very narrow and seemed to break up by late afternoon. None the less, it snowed steadily all day and night and for the past 90 minutes I have been heavy snow, with around 3" new in that time frame alone. We have a mostly westerly wind, so it could be the bomber part two, but hard to tell as there is some high clouds obscuring the LES clouds on the satellite.

I look at the Mohawk Motel cam every day as we used to stay up there years ago.
I don't think they have seen the sun in a few weeks!! as it looks like it's always snowing and blowing. like I remember it.

It certainly must have been narrow, I am in Houghton with no snow flakes.
Some gents I ran into said it snowed hard in Gay today so; maybe the same clouds.
