Beaver Island Trip

Heading to Beaver Island either Thursday evening or Friday morning on my buddies boat for a couple of days. Anything to do other than drink beer?
PR1....You must have been there and have some ideas.
Actually I have never been on the Island (marina was full with a Hatteras club event) I have been all around it many times. I been told drinking beer and renting a minivan to tour the Island is about it. Manitou Islands are more my speed! Charlevoix is a good time with a very nice marina. Been to Washington Island with the boat (at the tip of Door County) and loved it. Mackinaw Island by boat is way cool to do when staying in the marina.
Wayne I am surprised you haven't been there, but I guess you can drink beer anywhere. We have been to Mackinaw City Marina, stumbled back to the boat after closing the Keyhole. He was slipped at Irish marina which is near Charlevoix and is now in East Jordan. Maybe we should think about Mackinaw Island instead. Staying on the boat so as long as there is a slip we're good for lodging.

I would take Mackinaw Island over Beaver Island any day of the week. A couple years back I walked from The Miniciple marina in Charlevoix to Irish Marina to get a free t-shirt and a goodie bag. They had "Aquapalosa" going on and I pre-registered.
not sure how my response got in your quote???? lol plenty of bars on Mackinaw Island, Pink Pony and Harbor View are fav's there. Charlevoix check out Kelsey B's roof top for half price Oster bar and the appetizers are totally good! (haha! fixed it with a little cut and paste)

Marina is near by and the cops will not pull you over since you won't be driving. Cannon fire from the fort in the morning lets you know your on a new day! Lol.

Lived there for 2 years about 10 years ago. You about got it, drink beer, walk around Powers Ace Hardware, couple good bars in town and good food. Have a Guiness at the Shamrock. Had 2 sleds on the island and it was suprising how many miles you could put on riding unplowed two tracks.
