Beaver Lodge

We have reservations at Beaver Lodge next month. I've been told that the lodge or something in that neighborhood has recently burned. Can anyone tell me what it was that actually burned. I attempted to call them but they are not open until Thursday. Thanks, Jeff

I believ your talking about Pine Lake Lodge in Island Lake just north of Mercer. That's what burned down, I havent heard anything about Beaver Lodge. I think your all good!

I was up there in August, and the word then on rebuilding Bear Chasers was no. It's a shame, great people.

I just heard that it had changed hands. Sounds like there remodeling the motel rooms as well.

That is correct. John and Toni are the new owners and long time patrons and residence of Mercer. The motel should be done or nearing completion. At Thanksgiving time they said they needed three weeks to complete. Will be very nice when done and will look brand new. Come spring they are planning to add onto the restaurant.
