my belt is a lil wobbely on my 96 arctic cat z440... How do i tighten it up?
A belt at rest will always be loose. If you know the correct measerment for the distance between the center of the crankshaft and the center of the jackshaft, and it is correct, your belt deflection will be ok. This assuming the belt is not worn to much and it is indeed the correct belt
If a belt is to tight, it may squeel at idle. If the belt is to loose it will not shift out all the way. Put magic marker lines on the primary clutch shives and run it wide open and then see if the belt has run most of the way up the clutch.
