Belt length

I put a scorpion 440 motor in my boys 1989 Polaris sport, the drive belt is to long. What would be the best way to figure out what size I need? Thanks in advance.

go to cat dealer get a center to center gage,use it on your sled to set clutchs,install belt from the sled the gage was made for
