Heading up to Bergland on Thursday morning, how did the trails hold up during this warm up? Sounds like they could receive some LES Wednesday or Thursday.

Any info is appreciated!

Thank you and THINK SNOW!!!

Check out the bergland bay bar website, Tom always tells it like it is. From the looks of it they survived just fine and grooming is back to normal.

Rode to Lake Linden yesterday from my place in matchwood. 200 miles of smiles(even though it was rough and beat)can't groom sugar but they were trying.

I'm surprised to hear people putting so many miles on yesterday after reading about record warmth. I can't imagine the trails are very good anymore anywhere up north. I'm supposed to make a trip to the central UP in 3 days but am very wary even if they do get a couple of inches today. Is it worth the 6 hour drive???? Let me know what you think.

We have a 7 and a half hour drive planned for Wednesday, and wondering the same thing dooski_dan. Was wondering how many water areas opened up and if there is any snow base left in the corners?

Same boat here. Coming from Iowa and would love to hear some feedback on trail conditions. I just can't imagine it is good. The JD board is real slow this weekend so either that is a bad sign or everyone is out riding instead of on the computer.

Just the opposite not many are riding after 50+ sunny day some light snow today & we just don't know about conditions because we are not on trails. The good news is temps will be cold at night low teens mid 20s for highs all next week. I need about 3 inches to freshen up plowed roads to get to trails in Phelps then via groomed trails & Frs I could get to east of WM take my chances on 2 & 107 probably get to Sidnaw without too much trouble. The big BUT is when groomers can get thru to break up UP hardpak get us some sugar lube. Let's call what is out there late season conditions better than early season conditions & a good groom is a must. IMO in general very doable but not perfect...my problem is getting out of Vilas by sled then I can make the best of it in UP.

We rode every trail in the Keweenaw last few days. A lot of traffic and too warm weather took its toll, then everything froze hard and very bumpy today. They are out grooming and once everything is groomed again it will be much better, snow still sugery but we got 3+ inches today of fresh heavy snow too. The trail to gay was the worst for us 133 but 124 coming back up was fun. Both my headlights blew out and had to run hi beam till i got new bulbs. 3 was horrible this morning but got groomed then was bearable. This area still very doable and every stop had awesome food and service. P.S. Guess i meant to post this elsewhere but close enough.

Groomer went by my place at 7 PM I'm on trail 8. I'm 9 miles east of Bergland. Going out in the morning, will post a report when I get back. Been low traffic today, trails should be good. I will try around the lake and hope for the best.

Just got back from my ride. Rode 8 to 13 to 100 to 1 went around the lake. IMO not worth riding. Low snow and very beat up.trail 1 looked and felt like it had never been groomed.saw 2 groomers they weren't doing any good. But they were trying. But go Northeast mass, twin, sidnaw.less traffic and better grooming.

My wife and I just had to cancel our trip for personal reasons. We had one of the snowhuts rented by Peppermills in Rockland. We had reservations for Wednesday to Sunday. Give Cindy and Darrell a call.
