Bergland Grocery Burns down

Speaking with Tim from the Timbers this morning and he informed me the Grocery store burned down last night. No one was hurt thank goodness. The people in the apartment woke up to a smoke filled apartment and got out alive but lost everything. Tim said it is a complete loss. We are waiting for more info on how we can help. I guess the fire started about 2am. What a sad thing, what a loss for Bergland

That really is bad news, I know the new owners were having some issues (gas tanks pumped out on them from the supplier) but really were making some improvements to the store. I hope they can rebuild.

at noon today they were still trying to put it out, no flames but lots of smoke

Glad to hear nobody got hurt. It was about 8 years ago that restaurant burnt to the ground in Bergland. Can't remember what it was called , across the street from Antonio's by the park. That's two business's that have burned in a town that maybe has 5 retail establishments. Good thing the old Mobil is back open for gas. I hope the Oasis rebuilds.
