Bergland to Houghton

First time staying at Timbers in Bergland, looking for a suggestion of where to park truck and trailer in Mass City or Twin Lakes. We would like to ride to Houghton but we don't ride very fast and don't think we can make it to Houghton and back in reasonable amount of time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We will be coming into Bergland very late Wednesday night.

Krupp's resort in Twin Lakes has a large lot that you can use, but he does charge a modest charge for day parking. Give Richard a call at 906-288-3404 for info.

I think you might be able to park near the gas station in Mass City. If you stop there, I'm sure they can tell you.

A couple other thoughts. The DNR parking lot.

It’s on your left just west of US 45 on MI 26.

Trail 3 runs right through it. It's an easy ride on Trail 3 to Houghton from there.

I also think the gas station in Mass City has some parking area near it. You could ask there.

There is a donation box to help cover a bit of the fuel he uses to plow the lot as big as he does.
