Good luck you will not get him on the phone do not know what is going on this year. I have always had good luck him and getting me the product but you just cannot get ahold of him. I just wore out a pair but I am not even going to try and call him. Looks like StudBoy or Woodies will get me this year.

Found the following posted on another site on 1-13-11:

He has a helper in the shop, and they should be all caught up by this weekend. I also got the full back story on what was causing the delays. He ordered all of his carbide steel back in July, and it was supposed to be at his shop by the first week of November at the latest. It didn't arrive until mid December, and there is a global shortage of carbide steel due to the large increases in oil & gas drilling going on. Not only is carbide much harder to find, but the price has gone up 30%, and will probably go higher. Ouch.

Bottom line; he's on top of it and should be caught up and ready to take new orders by next week. He still has the phone off the hook most of the time, and understands his customers' frustration, but he's going as fast as he can. He also brought up the point that having somebody else answer the phone doesn't really work out well, because everybody that calls wants to talk to him anyways.

Poor customer service!

I don't care how good your product is, you better be available to your customers. What kind of business person hides behind their phone? At a minimum, he should have a message on his phone that explains the situation to customers. You can't just take the phone off the hook and hope things get better! He won't be in business long if this is how he conducts himself. I think this is at least the 3rd post on this topic in the last month!

I am been on of his biggest supporters but if you do not give a reason or some type of update that is not a reason. How about I am catching up on orders from such a date I cannot keep up so please reorder after such a date.

Exactly what I thought. I had problems back in early nov. just getting shims and ski savers. Took me 6 weeks and alot of complaining to him.

tried to cancel

I ordered 2 sets at the end of November and when I did not have them a week before my xmas trip I called him and cancelled my order (or so I thought). I ordered 2 sets of shapers, received them and installed them, on the 27th UPS delivered a package he overnighted (at no additional charge) it was the carbides I had cancelled, sure enough my credit card was charged! I didn't know if I should be pissed or glad I got some triple points after reading all the posts of people who can't order any. I finally decided it was okay, I have some new carbides for when the shaper bars wear out.

Do we all wait till it's time to sled to start fixing our machines? Thought that's what you do either before they get put away for summer or a couple of months before the season starts? The man works out of his garage, by himself, I ordered a pair of "Good but Ugly" had em 2 weeks after I ordered them "actually took longer to get a hold of than waiting for carbides" the above mentioned carbides are easier to make than the triples that is probably why I had them in 2 weeks (Duh) lol. My biggest problem is a darting issue, been loosening up spring preload on shocks, Rob thanks for your advice about the limiter strap, haven't been able to try cuz Peg & I haven't been back up there (Hayward) where we keep our sleds (friends place) since we last talked. Was suppose to go this weekend but to dam cold up there going next weekend for a 3 dayer.
