Bergstrom Skegs

I ordered skegs from them last April. Still haven't got them. Last email from them was they were starting up right after Christmas. Have e-mailed them several times but no response. Just went on their site and noticed they say they cannot answer by e-mail. Tried to call but all I get is busy signal. Anyone know what's up? Need these for my new sled. Any suggestions? Also, what skegs are as good as their triples? Maybe I will go that route.
Tks

3 or 4 posts on this already. I would look elsewhere. Do a search to find the other threads.

snowtrackers

I agree that Bergstroms are good as I have two sleds with them and they improved significantly. But I too had the same issue with Bergstrom. I don't care how good they are...if you can't buy them and use them they aren't worth anything. therefore, I would suggest snowtrackers. i have had three sleds with them and they are even better. They are a little pricey up front, but I just sold a 2006 Apex with the original set on them. That's 5 seasons! So in the end you aren't spending more...

First link is the manufacturer website:

Here is where I bought mine:

Which style did you use on you Apex and how many studs did you have?

I went with semi aggressive since I do not put studs on my tracks. I have put semi aggressive on a 2006 Apex which I just sold and had at least 4,500 miles on them. I am selling my 2007 Attak this Sunday which has over 5,000 miles on them and just put on the semi aggressive on my 2011 Apex XTX. The XTX has a 144" track (no studs) and only have 100 miles on it so I need to ride a little more to know if I need to get the aggressive style snowtrackers. I'm riding from Bruce Crossing north to the Freda loops and back to Bruce and hopefully by then i will know if I need to change to the aggressive model snowtracker. I can reply and let you know if you are interested.

worth it?

It is a one man shop but the Bergstroms are the best!

Went snowmobiling with a friend couple weeks ago. At the start I helped him put on a new set of SLP SLT skiis with brand new (another brand) 6" carbides on his 600 Doo. 667 miles later he had NO CARBIDE left. We had lots of small rocks on the trails and ran a few seasonal roads with minimal snow (not my choice). I have been bragging to him for years the number of miles I have on my 8" Triple Points, original set has over 19,000 miles and spent the last 7600 miles on the wife's Z1 JAG AND STILL GOING STRONG. So he questioned what mine looked like on the front end of my tank (Z1 Turbo). I told him that I really had no concern, that last trip was MUCH worst. Needless to say he was shocked to see the condition of my TPs; not to mention they have over 5200 miles on them. I told the cheap arse that he may pay more up front, but most likely the TPs will outlast his sled, especially with his luck.

I don't think anyone is questioning the quality, it's actually being able to get a pair. What good are they if you can't get them or even a response from the company?
