Bergstrom Triple Points

I'm about to order the 6" Triple Point carbides, Ski Savers, and shims. Sleds do not have studs. 136" 1 1/2 inch lug on one. And 121" 1" lug on the other.

Any negatives on this set up? Any real life experience with the Bergstrom products?

I run the same setup on a pair of 2007 Yamaha Attaks. They have helped on that sled for sure. The setup is a bit pricey but they have lasted 3 seasons of nothern wisconsin riding and still look new. Your biggest issue is going to be getting ahold of Scott Bergstrom. I found early mornings to be best.

I put the 6" bergstroms on my 06 Fusion 600. Stock track (not ripsaw, etc.) and no studs. I've been really happy with them although previously I just had the stock bars on and I haven't compared them to any real competitors. With the 6" bergstroms and the stock track, there is almost two much grip upfront as the back end has more of a tendency to slide in the turns. I think the 6" bars would be well-matched to your 136" track. I think I have about 2500 miles on them and they are holding up well so far.

I also got the shims, which lessened the steering effort fairly dramatically. I had a hard believing a little piece of plastic made such a difference.

I have been using triple points for years & like them a lot. Make sure you use the shims for even wear. If you install correctly your sled will corner on rails & no darting. Best carbide set up available.:)

Thanks everyone,

I called but got no answer. But Scott called back! Nice! Ordered up 2 sets. Figured might as well treat the ZRT600 136" & ZR500 121" with the same courtesy.

mmmm...........90 degrees and I'm think about snowmobiling......interesting.

We use the 6" Triple Point carbides on our Renegades. Moved the stock carbides to the outside. I have never run a more stable snowmobile. We do not use picks in the tracks and have no problems.
Give Scott a call it works much better the E-mail. Got ours in days after talking with him.

Wait, why wait, didn't you see the tests running down the steet? Just imagine how well they will turn in your yard! Ha

You will love them, much better than the Woody's that need to be replaced after a run down a shoulder or two in late March to get to the gas station.

For what it's worth... several years ago I had a couple of in depth conversations with Scott. What was happening was that over the summer his orders would drop off. Last winter I did pick up on many people on several forums having a hard time getting ahold of him. I would not be surprised if he started to try balance out his busy season with his not busy season by shifting his availability to manufacture ? Just saying.

I found the best time to get him is now aug-sept-oct. I have TP's with 8-9k on them. Hard to beat. That is 1 product that still earns the " Made in America " reputation.
