I have ridden with Spy goggles most of my adult riding years. This until last year when I bought a pair of Smith's.
If you are going to ride with Spy, I suggest the Alloy frame. Not as flashy, but they perform the best out of all of their frames.
I would also suggest looking into Smith's or 509's. I own both and they work way better than all of the Spy's I have ridden with.
Also my brother in law and another friend are both riding in the new Castle designs and they love them. Less expensive and they have a bunch of lens options.
Just my two cents

They are priced high. Again the Alloy is not too bad, but there is better out there.
I have nevber had good luck with Oakley either. In my opinion it helps to go with a company that makes "snowmobile" specific goggles, ie Castle, Smith, or 509
These companies are making goggles to fill the big eye ports of todays helmets and have fantastic extended foams.

okay, yeah i am using Scott googles right now and they are just not the greatest, so im thinking about picking up some smiths at haydays. would you recommend a specific tint at all on the goggles? i just have clear as of now.

I usually ride with two pair with different lenses for day or night. Typically a yellow or light smoke for day and clear for night. However the Smith goggles I bought last year have a lens called "Sensor Mirror" that are amazing both day and night.

No actually I just went on Smith's web site and saw that a lot of their "snowmobile" goggles some with that sensor mirror.
The two nicest fames in my opinion are the Snow Piston (which I am riding in) and the Snow Intake's. The Piston's have a bit of a bigger frame and seal out everything. The Intake's have the cooler frame graphics. Both are really nice.
