Big Buddy Heaters

Anybudy have one? Looking to get a heater for when working in the garage (25x30) that is insulated. Just not sure if I should just get a forced air 35-55,000 btu or go with the portable Big Buddy heater,which you could take ice fishing, or in enclosed trailer. Any thoughts

They will not heat a garage, but work waesome for enclose trailer or fishhouse. I have the big buddy

Get the forced air, you will be happy you did. If you have natural gas or a LP pig you don't have to worry about running out of gas in the middle of a project because of small tanks. You can set the thermostat for a set temp and it will be more even heat. The forced air vents out side and you don't get a build up of moisture like you do from LP heaters are not vented. I have the Big buddy heater and i don't think it will heat my garage that is a little bigger than yours. I haven't tried to though but if you left it on for a day it might heat it up.

Well, don't need to heat the garage (big buddy), just take a little chill out when you want to work on the sled. Right now I can pull our cars in and the snow will melt just with the insulation, so I don't need a lot of heat just enough to make it a little more comfortable.

Cant speak for the big buddy heater as I havent used one (I do see it is rated for an area about half the size of your garage) but one of my brothers has one of these that works good for taking the chill off of his garage. We have used it when working on the sleds and it did pretty good.

It doesnt work as good as my other brothers forced air furnace that will warm you up quickly and eventually cook you out of there.

It works as well as a wall mounted unit,but your paying for the portability.You will need the hose kit to run a 20lb tank. The two- one pound go real quick. I am happy with it and like the versatility.
