Blackberry picking

We have started picking berries around here. Now a bunch are ripe. Last weekend was a tad early here but now it is good to go. I think my 2 yr old ate about a hundred of them.

Here are a couple of shots.

We have been picking at my house for about a month. it has been a bumper crop, I haven;e even ventured out of the mowed yard yet and we've gotten enough to make 2 qts of syrup and some jam. we also make smoothies about 2 times a week with them.

Need to make time to venture "off piste"....

m8man was up last weekend and noticed a bunch close but not quite ready yet. Honk every time I go bye so if you ever hear it and see a big green beast driving bye wave.

Best part of winter up there is leaving the Blackberries behind.
