I may need a boat shipped from Henderson, NV to Iowa. Has anybody ever used a company or service that is reliable? Any help is appreciated.

My be able to find room in a moving van for 20 footer going that way very logical to travel thru Iowa on interstate. If you have a large cabin cruiser 30 footer or so you are limited. It is best to be more specfic about type & weight of boat might be able to be towed by pick up truck or SUV.

It's an Ebbtide 2500 Deck Boat, that is sitting on a new trailer. It can easily be pulled by a truck and I believe the overall length, with the swim platform, would be about 26 feet. I'm not sure of the weight...yet?

Check the weight I think the Ebbtide IO decks are heavy as still use wood stringers when I looked at them in a show in FL. Hurricane decks for comparison are also very heavy lots of wood in them 4000lbs or more plus trailer too much weight going up & down mountains in TN. NV to Iowa you have to cross Rockies somewhere & that is nasty going thru CO. Good luck.

We just had a 30', twin motor boat (8500 pounds) hauled back from Vegas to Cedar Rapids by a guy with a one ton pick-up. We didn't want to yank it through the mountains with our motorhome. He charged $1,600 I belive and did a good job. I will look up his number when I get to the office in the morning and post it on here if I can find it still. Did a google search to find him. Later.

Fly me down there, rent a truck and pay my meals and lodging and I will go get it for you. Is this something you bought and need shipped to your house?

That's a 1400 mile trip....

Get online and google Uship http://www.uship.com/ Make sure you explain in your offer that it can be pulled on the trailer or you only want it transported on a flatbed....I suspect that the price might not be all that much different. I used them a couple times to ship bikes, and a pair of snowmobiles on another time to New Jersey. Catch a guy about to dead-head and you could get a good deal.

You can offer a price, and see who takes you up on it, or they can offer back.

Make sure they are bonded and insured...then you cover the boat with your own insurance too.

Good luck...hope you got a smoke'n hot deal on it.

Weight is not an issue if you have the proper tow rig; it's the width that is most important. If it is too wide you will need permits from every state to travel thru. Anything over like 9ft 6in I think needs the permits.

Don't know about recreational but commercial anything over 8' 6" wide needs a permit
