After seeing Skylars project I started looking back at last winters posts (yes the itch has consumed me - but I need it to stay dry long enough to finished the outside of my garage I'm 1/3 done building).

Rusty - I never saw this post then. Um, there was no snow in Cooke...we got there Wed. and had to ride on dirt...we gave up and left Wed. night;)

Well, O.K., EPIC might be the word to best describe the snow - if anyone reading this has never hit the mountains after 2 1/2+ feet of fresh you have no idea what you are missing (I know Rusty and Biff's group have had this pleasure). We rode all Wed. and Thurs. and saw maybe 10 other people - half of them on 121's and 136's stuck feet off the trail...I almost felt guilty tearing up all that fresh snow alone...almost. Friday and Saturday we saw about 30-50 people here and there throughout the day but the fresh snow was getting well tracked up.
