Breakfast Joint near Tomahawk.....

Hi All,

Been on the Munising side of the U.P. for several years and will be heading back to the western U.P. this winter. Wondering if anyone has any new (or old) breakfast joints near Tomahawk for our early drive up that they can suggest for our group to stop at to grab a bite?
Omelet's and pancake type of places not so much the bars since it will be pretty early for libations....

If you come thru St Germain, Three C's is excellent. I think they open at 6.

Tomahawk Family Restaurant has good food and an extensive menu... it is on the north end of town and is easy in/out with trailers....

TH[ /QUOTE Have you tried Rivers Edge? 3 miles east off hwy 51 on cty rd A. BreaKfast made from scratch simple but GOOD! They belong to BOTH clubs in the Tomahawk area and are very active in the Knight Owls. Even though they are a bar (awesome bloodys) just like HOME COOKING!

Technically isn't it wrong to be editing a quote. Wouldn't it then no longer be a quote? I believe that if words are removed, you should use ... ? Or if adding words, or inserting an explanation. It should be put in brackets.

Nope, not necessarily wrong to "edit a quote", as long as the intent is not to deliberately mislead. I often do it just to succinctly show the essential bits that I'm referring to, while eliminating sometimes a huge amount of extraneous matter, pictures, etc. — as I have done with your quote above, using the ellipsis "…" to specifically indicate the deleted bits (i.e. the "editing") that I've done. (And incidentally, the ellipsis is a single character, not a string of three periods/dots!)

However, the text within and including the square brackets "[" and "]" surrounding a quotation is not "text", but instructions/commands (in a simple programming language) for the parsing engine, which it will use to recognize the beginning and end of the quoted material. Muck any part(s) of those up and it won't understand how to format the post.
