My father in law has a place on Panquitch Lake...maybe a 20 min drive from Brian Head. Dependent on snow, the riding can be fantastic. The one thing I would be concerned about not having ridden there before would be the barbed wire fences. As long as you are aware of them, there are all kinds of places to boondock. The powder can be awesome...but then again, it can be real disappointing as well. Check out the snow report on the Brian Head website and it will give you a good idea. So far this year, it looks like a bust.
