Stafford throws touchdown on last paly with injured wing & wins game. Gutty ,gutty kid. Stafford worth every penny of $41,000,000. Wait until this team belives they can win & will be hard to beat.

The kid has talent if they can keep him healthy anything is possible. Without Stafford same old same old. They need his spark to belive they can win. I hope he can play Thursday but he will be stiff as a board after the beating he took.

Pete I do agree a little bit with you. If a team really believes in there QB and he show's greatness than it can elevate them to play harder IF they really care. Come Thursday I hope the Lions lay an egg! Now that the Packers are FINALLY rushing the QB if Stafford tries to play hurt the Packers may smell blood in the water and really go after him, atleast that's what I'm hoping for!!!

Does anyone have the win/loss stat of the last 4 years for the Lions? I thought I saw like 3 and 48. How can a professional team still be around when they have a consistent less than 10% win rate.

Browns coming around too but Lions are better at this pont. Both have good young QBs. Rather be them than the Bears. Looks like Denver will get some good draft picks for Cutler. Bear future looks very bleak unless they buy a team. Getting old & no good draft picks & need everything but a place kicker. I think Bear fans feel helpless at this point no young players to bring up & mold just same old players that get more worn & worse each game.

The Bears are pathetic and stupid but I'm still a fan. Anyway they will have lots of money to spend on free agents because they won't have to pay the big bucks on unproven first round draft picks. Now the objective is to spend it wisely which the current leadership has shown they have no clue.

indybru: I'm a Bear fan too & bought Direct TV NFL ticket so I can watch the Da Bears. I agree only way forward after Cutler trade is free agents. I can only hope they spend big next year or they will be last place as Lions get better & better. If they have anybody that can play on the practice squad they should bring up NOW. Any position give them a try. We need somebody anybody to step up & play well. Bears are awful

Lions QB Stafford May Not Play vs Packers

Nov 23, 6:31 PM (ET)

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson played the game Sunday that Detroit Lions fans had been waiting all season to see.
Stafford set an NFL rookie passing record with 422 yards in a 38-37 victory over Cleveland and became the youngest player to throw five touchdown passes in a game. Johnson had seven catches for a career-best 161 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown.

Trouble is, a national TV audience might not get to see either player on Thursday.

Stafford and Johnson were both injured on a chaotic play as time expired, and Lions coach Jim Schwartz didn't sound optimistic that either would be available to face Green Bay on Thanksgiving Day.

Whitedust, I agree Stafford is the real deal. He was awesome against the Bears. That's when I thought they were good. The Lions deserve their day in the sun they have had some lean years. I actually like the teams in the NFC north if it's not the Bears I hope someone else does well in representing the division. Feel the same way about teams in the Big Ten (Bolilermaker Fan).
