John,

I have heard good things about your brisket and am preparing to do one my self. I have smoked a lot of chicken, pork, turkey, ribs, etc. Any tips for smoking a brisket?

You have heard right! It's awesome. Low and slow works good. Mustard coating and dry rub worked well my first time. I need to do it again soon!!!

Willie has it right. Low and slow (235 degrees for about 12-14 hours). A good rub works too. Plenty out there on the internet, just choose which one sounds most tasty to you!

Have fun and enjoy!
