Looking for place to ride on our final day, have never ridden Trail 3 Bruce crossing trail south of trout creek, looks like can do small loop and back up 107 to 8, has anyone recently or not taken this trail, and wonder if its a descent loop or stay away.

More traffic on 3 south than 107 but more twists too. 3 is groomed by Watersmeet 107 is groomed by Iron County 2 east as well. I don’t particularly like the road trail by TC so I mostly avoid 3 n & s prefer 107. Riders like to rip 107 me included so be prepared for that but 3-150 -107 is a nice but short loop. 107 was being groomed Saturday at 4 pm don’t know about 3.

Certainly not “descent” all the way; some gentle descents and some gentle ascents. :devilish:

You are already more than likely done riding, but 107 in probably my favorite trail in the UP. UP3 can be okay, but there are sections if I recall correctly that are the side of road riding. But if you do ride that, worth riding to Bond Falls. UP15 can be very fun, but does not seem to get the grooming of 107.

sjb, we are heading up there on the 16th - 20th have not ever seen bond falls, is it trail accessible? on or off of trail 3, 107 seems to be the trail of choice but will do a loop so will end up taking both 3 and 107. If bond falls is not accessible by trail do you have any tid's on how to get there you can give me? much appreciated Thank You!

The next question I have if not accessible by trail is it ok to access and view the falls by snowmobile without trespassing in a park or whatever the access may be. Also is this the falls you can see from the tressel bridge on trail 8 or am I thinking of agate falls

Bond Falls.PNG You can't see this falls from a tressel. What you will want to do is take UP3 to Bond falls Road. Bond falls road is not a trail, but you only need to run about 3/4 mile on the road. Unless there is a warm up, there is usually enough ice and snow to provide lube from UP3 to the falls. From there, you will have a short walk to see the falls. Certainly worth it.

If you look at the map, essentially you want to go East where the "I" is located. From there about 3/4 miles.

Went to Bond Falls last week while we were up there. Definitely worth the stop. Of course...lots of couples there so myself and two buddies were out of place. Haha

Bond Falls is definitely worth getting to. I was up there in 2002 and the snow depth was insane for February. We could hear the water, but we couldn't find the falls for a bit. (snowfall depth was why..... literally 15'+ snow berms all around the Fall's)
We walked down some already tracked paths by foot, and it was absolutely amazing to see it all.

The Falls are east of Trail 3 on Bond Falls Rd, yes accessible by snowmobile, on the north side of the road there is the main entrance to the Falls with a big sign there is a gate across the enterance, but there is a snowmobile trail around the gate and you can ride to the bottom where there is a parking area and from there it is a short walk to the Falls. It's really beautiful! This is a pic of the upper falls
