Where are you staying. We have been staying in area for 20 years. Go south thru Springsted and ride Price Co. go North towards Hurley. Excelent trails well marked.

Da flowage

When crossing da flowage stay close to the markers, there is a dam towards the southern end that is open or thin ice. Lots of great trails every direction. Stop at Donners Bay for sure. There is always snow up towards Island Lake (Bear Chasers if it's re-opened). Give us a report after your trip, please, I will be up there two weeks later.

Help me on this one guys, Is a "Flowage" the same thing as a "back waters"? I suspect flowage as a regional term? I live on the back waters of a river. It has a dam down stream. My whole life I never heard it called a flowage. just curious.

A flowage is basically a swamp with a dam. But the water acually moves or flows through the swamp so some places don't freeze.
