Cabin/House for rent in Keweenaw?

Our group is looking into a trip to the Keweenaw in February. There will be 5-7 of us and we like to stay in a house/cabin.

Ideally it would be a 3 bedroom/2 bath place near the trails in the central Keweenaw. Say Mohawk or Phoenix area. Don't need anything fancy, but we like to have our own beds, a basic kitchen, and more than one bath helps get on the trail in the morning more quickly.

I looked on John's northwoods directory but a quick search showed primarily motels or small cottages.

Any ideas or leads?

We stayed here before and it wasn't bad. Nothing fancy but clean, plenty of parking, and not far from everything. It is in a regular neighborhood and not so much like a backwoods cabin. I pulled it from John's directory.

A little further S in the Rockland/Mass area - we've stayed with Matt at The Bluff. I think Lenny rents in that area as well. And you can't go wrong with Running Bear in Paulding if you're looking for something SW UP.

Just to throw a different area out there.

We are located in Twin Lakes-the beginning of the Keweenaw Peninsula. We have 3 cabins that have 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms. Twin Lakes is an excellent location for riding different directions. If you would e-mail us kruppsresort@alphacomm.net and ask for brochure, inside of brochure gives approx snowmobile miles to many locations in many directions.

Thanks for all the responses. I wasn't quite so clear the first time that I was looking for central north of the bridge.

The group either wants to stay in the Bergland/Gogebic area or focus on north of the bridge.

We've got the options pretty well identified in the south, but am always open to new suggestions. We were pretty set on Bergland, but I'll definitely put The Bluff, Krupps, and Lenny's on the list. (Lenny, if you're like one of the guys in the group you'd invite us to stay at your new place and then put us to work!)

I think I'm the only one in this group who's explored much north of the bridge. This group has always stayed south of the bridge and it seems like we always get delayed by something (too much fun playing south, mechanicals, trail issues, etc.) that we don't make too far across the bridge. We thought an option to stay central north of the bridge would be a nice change.

Thinking Snow!

Hey, I have a great idea! How about you guys come up and help out on my old place and you can have free lodging. Am I smart or what?

Lenny,

You need to first offer the free lodging, then spring the work on us when we get there. Won't be able to get the guys to agree to the work in advance!

As noted above I'll include your rental house in the options but can't find the info. Where do you list your rental house info?

Thanks

Thanks for reminding me, I need to get that over to da Man himself and have it posted in the Northwoods directory but here are a few picks, cross the street and behind the ball diamond is the trail

Good One....., almost as good as the peppermint pill joke ! how about they stop by my place , help with 2 down sleds (1st ), then we all come up ?
They can stay for free here, wrench on sleds, wait for the leaves to fall, pick those up , watch 3D TV , wait for more leaves to fall... ( LOL not so funny ) pick those up !!! ect.... I think this could go on until the snow flies .
