Lookin to sled the Cadillac area or somehwere near (South, or West) of there on the weekend of the Superbowl. Does anyone know of a good place to stay? Close to the trails (or on the trail)? Never sledded that area and could use some direction. Oh we are takin' our ladies so we'd need to take em to a nice restaurant or two while there...Any suggestions?

Thanks to all who respond-

Wolf lake motel is one spot north of Baldwin www.wolflakemotel.com there are several motels in and around Baldwin also. I stay at a cabin just south of Baldwin, we ride to Chase Creek Smoke House for Dinner sometimes, good food it's on US10 east of Baldwin.

Super 8 in cadillac is near the trail, but you do have to cross the road to get to it. Really cheap rooms, but just your standard hotel. Sands Resort is also right on the trail in town. Bar/night club on site also.

We ate at, but did not stay at Coyote Crossing. They had cabins for rent and a neat bar/restaurant there. Very impressed with the food and friendliness of the staff. Will check into renting cabins next time we head into that area for sure. Trail leaves right from here, and its out of town a little ways.

Maguires Resort also on the trail, close to town, and has a nice restaurant right on site. Might be your best bet if looking for a bit higher end with more stuff on site.

Check out McGuire's Resort in Cadillac. I have stayed there several times and am very happy with the accomodations. The ladies will enjoy it too. Free breakfast, indoor pool/jacuzzi, and the trail is right off the parking lot. Reasonably priced, and snowmobile friendly. Here is the link:

I second the Wolf Lake Motel, I will also be there that weekend. My wife loves the Club 37 restuarant a few miles up the rode from the motel.

Coyote Crossing's cabins are fairly modern (built within the last 10 years, I believe) and very nice. Only stayed there once, but I remember it seemed like they had sledders in mind when they built them because there were lots of hooks to hang gear on.
