Calling all RMK riders

I have a line on a 2008 Polaris 600 RMK 144" with 0 miles on it at what I would consider a good price $6250 and was wondering what people thought of this sled. It will be used as a 70% off trial 30% on trail machine with hopefully an occasional trip west. Does this seem like a good deal? Is there anything I should be aware of with this sled? Thank you in advance for all info. Think Snow!!

Verify the elevation the sled was set up to operate at. Change the settings to suit your location if needed. Not a big deal.

I agree

Good price - Good sled

What lug size does the track have on it? That would be my only worry for trail riding. You may need scratchers.

Scratchers are an absolute necessity with those lugs and you still might have issues but don't let that scare you. After a year or two when you're missing a couple paddles or paddle tips, replace that deep lug track with something more suitable for all around riding (1.25-1.5").

Seal it up around the headlight and the adjuster knob they are prone to pulling snow into the airbox. Vents for the clutch side both shock tower and side vent cause the clutches do get hot. Better boards or snow eliminators otherwise snow builds up like crazy. CoBe rear bumper so when you trench it you can actually get your hands under the rear bumper to lift it. You wont be dissappointed with the ride it's a great chassis and a whole lot of fun to ride.

I suggest that you dimple die the boards and save a ton of money. Scratchers, go with slidekicks. SLP Vent kits are a nice option to add. an SLP Can is nice. Check out how I vented my 06 in my pic gallery. Price is right. Make a crazy low offer. Do you get a warranty?

The perfect U.P sled. 600 has plenty of power. Slide Kick Scratchers are a must. They are reverse compatable and worth a few extra bucks! If you don't want this sled let me know. That's a deal I'd be interested in. I currently a 2007 Summit 600 SDI. I've got 7000 miles on her and it just keeps going!

Poo 600 is bulletproof. Scratchers are a must have for trail riding, it being a 144 it will have 2" lugs. Closing in on 7000 miles on my 07, great sled. If it is brand new, you should get a warranty, but, if it doesn't have a warranty, no big deal. That price is to good to pass up!

I agree it sounds like a great deal..Don't wait on it.. Even tho I ride a Cat if I were looking a Poo that is the one. I think that length track for what your trail vs offtrail percentage is makes it a great choice.

Don't wait, go for it.

Wooo hoooo for you

i had a 2006 600 switchback that I put over 6000 miles on and now have a 2010 600 RMK that I am very happy with. The 600 motor is awesome, 144" track is perfect for the Midwest. I've ran a 2" track for the last 5 yrs without scratchers and never had a cooling issue. Enjoy!
