Camcorder

Can anyone suggest an easy to use HD or Standard camcorder?
Haven't bought one in years and wow have these things changed!
Looking to spend no more than $500-600 on an HD model.

Using primarily for home video (kids) indoors and out. We have HD TV's etc.

i bought this one.....it out performed the SONY that was 600 bucks and was only 720p whcih this is HD 1080p and has an option that auto starts record on any movements and many more options the others dont have....plus its 1/2the price of the others
