Can the spindles be twisted ?

Icy road plus 40 mph gust of wind and doing 60 mph coming back from a Hayward trip caused a jackknife. Went into the median spinning & sliding, force of all this threw 1 of my sleds out the back of trailer (pictured below) & the other was hanging half way out. How the skis got out from under the ski bars that lock the fronts down is still a mystery to me as both sleds came free but the ski bars were still in the channel that locks the skis down. The sled that stayed in the trailer received the worst damage, by eyeballing & measuring (each ski about 1" - 1 1/2" toed out) but checking (visually) all the tie rods, drag link, idler & pitman arms look fine. I removed the worst skis spindle & it doesn't look twisted, the skis were ok before this accident, I would think visually I could spot something bent. Twisted spindles very possible. Just replaced one on my 03 polaris, thought it was the radius rods also.

removed both spindles, no stress marks from twisting, tie rod arms in good shape with and no damage inside tie rod arm where spindle top goes into but skis are still toed out. think I'm just gonna adjust the toe out by adjusting tie rod ends to meet specs.
