Can the trails survive a warm up????

Hi all. Looking for some advice or insight from those currently in the Keweenaw. We have a group of 4 planning on coming up Tuesday and departing early AM Friday. Staying in Twin Lakes. I was optimistic with all the snow that has been received in the last couple weeks that we would have good early season conditions. I see now that they are talking a warmup into the mid 30s for a couple of days early in the week with some shots of rain. Is there a good enough base to withhold a brief warmup and rainfall or are we gambling. I'm the one who convinced the gang that we would have good conditions this early so don't want to be proven wrong? I have a 48 hr cancellation policy where we are staying so would like to pull the plug in the next couple hours if we are going to. There will be other opportunities for us this winter, just had the early season itch.

Sorry I posted this under area conditions as well but thought I may get more hits here.

depending on the base..30's and a touch of rain is no issue..not sure what the base depth is..durphee is UP there now and told me trails have alot of wet still..so you may be early from that standpoint..the minimal warmup is not your problem..heck..last year it went to 70 for a WEEK..and trails were rough but held a base..

also aren't you the guy i rode with cupl seasons ago?

Not that I recall. I figured 30s and rain usually isnt an issue. **** I’ve road in a T-shirt up there. I’m just making an assumption that there isn’t much base at this time thus there lies my concern. We’re gonna give it a shot.

I just got back from staying in Rockland. The trails around TL were pretty good, some water spots that were passable. We rode the grade which was good and trail 13 from TL to Rockland which was really good. There's some rough spots on it but it's early season. We rode south to Bergland and I wouldnt recommend it. Trail 13 down was OK but north end of Bergland was really swampy. We headed north out of Bergland towards Ontanogan and it was thin around Bergland and got better north. Trail 12 was pretty good. All of area needs grooming and some cold, my sled is pretty mud covered. I would recommend TL and north.

I am at the Parkview right now. I think the 35 degree temp would not be bad but rain would kill what base there is.
