Can trails recover?

Thinking about northern Wisc. and lower U.P. I see Mercer does not have flowage marked anymore. If those type of areas get the predicted 6-10" through Saturday, and possible more next Tuesday, could the Clubs get those areas back to life?

That is the HUGE unknown as this storm approaches. What we do know is groomers prolly won't have access to swamps or traditional wet areas so adjust expectations. Most of this storm accumulation will be ridden in for Vilas trails not groomed so make your trail choices to include high ground and low traffic areas. After we sled pack in the 10 inches maybe trails will be groomed or panned once at most at night. Adjust your expectations won't be perfect by a long shot going to be plenty of wet spots and snirt. Imo typical late season conditions with good ,bad and ulgy all mixed in from town to town. By the time Tuesday comes around with another dumper coming thru Vilas grooming capabilities will be known and fresh snow available to heal trails should allow good conditions late next week....for awhile. After next weekend all bets are off may have to start all over again & again but at least we have a chance to do some riding for the next week or so. How good it is up to you and your expectations. Be safe and smart out there.:)

Ground is wet/swamps not frozen/ A lot of Lakes no longer marked, lots of water run off. It will be ride able but be careful many new hazards.
Unless there is a big cold streak it will be "early season at best. However it does make for fun riding, lots of challenges. Im going up to ER Friday morning.

What started out as a big forecast has now degraded. What was going to be heading up to the Boulder cottage for a great last ride is starting to look like a storage prep and cottage close down until spring. What a surprise.
