I have a 2009 600 IQ shift and was wondering if a canister for a 09 600 rmk will work. the rmk is cfi and my shift is not, will it work because the egt sensor is on the pipe. thanks guys

why would the sensor on the pipe matter for the can? if they use the same stock silencer, then the new can will fit. as far as i know, it's about fit and motor size, not cfi vs. carb. i'm sure it would be fine.

thanks i wasn't sure and didn't want to waste the money.
Also 1 more question what does a tunnel protector actually look like underneath? i am wanting to put studs in it and need to know if i need protectors. there is a square looking guide(2 of them) under the tunnel now, are those protectors? thanks alot guys

yes, they look like the hyfax. plastic sticks basically, attached to the tunnel, right over the clips on the track. That stops the studs from touching the tunnel (or cooler if there's one back there). The ones on my old Fusion slid onto the cooler just like hyfax, through windows behind the snowflap. Some have to be rivited on by taking the seat off, and go down the entire tunnel.

Hm, if it's metal, it's not the tunnel protector... Its the cooler. They stretch down the length of the tunnel. That's how my 2009 RMK is, and I think all of them after they got rid of the Fusion.

The Polaris Dealers can get this for you. Here is a link to the PurePolaris site and the part you need:

Looks like they are $100 from Polaris. I'm sure there are aftermarket ones out there...

DennisKirk does have them as well. You just have to pick the right pattern. Just search for "Tunnel Wear Strip", and you'll get them all.

MUCH cheaper.

For the tunnel protectors, I'd recommend the ones from Polaris, besides, I haven't seen any available from the aftermarket specifically for the late model Polais sleds.
