Can't shut off my Polaris 120

I have a 2002 Polaris 120xc that is basically new. This year I have run into a new twist with it. I am unable to shut it off with the key, kill switch or tether switch.
The only way to shut it off is by pulling the plug wire, which is always fun when your hands are cold or a little wet....or by shutting off the gas and waiting and waiting and waiting for it to diiieeee.

I am looking for some ideas on where to start looking.

Check the ground wires to the block,the bolt might be loose or gone.

Tim, your sentence structure is pretty good for a person who rides a 120. Its got to be a ground wire unhooked to the key switch.

Had this same issue with my kids 2002 120 two winters ago. After testing everything the thing I found to be the problem was the ignition coil. Even the dealer questioned this, but I put in the new coil and no more problems. Everything works great!
