Does anyone know what kind of "play" should be in the chain in the chain case?? It shouldnt be tight without any play should it? Its on a 2000 Mach Z 800 Triple if it matters. Thanks

Usually you crack loose the tensioner bolt and then tighten the bolt by hand. Once hand tight back it off about a 1/4 turn and then tighten the jam nut.

Yeah but this sled is different. It doesnt have a jam nut. It has a lock pin that you insert into to adjusting bolt to hold it from rotating. The bad thing is that if you rotate the bolt 180 degrees tighter to get the pin lined up the chain feels to tight. If i leave it where it is there is some play but not enough to have the chain slapping on the case sides.

Sound like to me you just need to decide if you want tight or loose. I'd think that you'd be better off with the slightly loose chain, than the overly tight one.

I have another question about the chain case. I emptied the oil today but how much should you put back in? I have a small container (250ML) I bought and am guessing the whole thing goes in. It's for a 2005 REV.

hey dooski.. i called my dealer for the amount that went in my Mach Z and it was 8.5oz. Is 250ml the same as 8oz?? I put in the 8oz and its good on the dipstick. i think the dealer says 8.5oz just so they can sell you two bottles of the case oil.
