Chaincase leaks

I have a 1999 Polaris XC 500 that just in the past few years if I don't put Blue gasket on with my rubber seal and cover it will leak.

I have tried a new gasket and with all 4 bolts tight still leaks. I don't see any damage to cover or case.

any other idea's? or just stick with the Blue gasket?

Other than being sure the seam is at the top with a shot of silicone, the blue gasket is your only other option. Been there done that.

Had the same sled with the same problem. I figured out if I tightened the bottom cover bolts down before the upper bolts it didn't leak. I never had to resort to additional sealers. Worth a try.

Did you take the cover off and check and see if the bolt and washer broke off the gear and cracked the chain case. This is a very common problem on that sled.

I have a New rubber seal and added a small amount of semi dry gasket recommended by the dealership.

I have inspected the chain case for any cracks or any other type of problems. I don't see any at this time.

I now need to ride and see what happens. No leakn sitting in the garage at the moment.
